Startup in Residence (SiR) is an innovation program in which governments collaborate with startups. The aim of the program is to realize valuable innovations for social issues. Joining forces as government agencies creates the opportunity to tackle larger, complex social issues while at the same time making better use of the innovative power of startups.
Ambitions of the SiR program:
- Solve societal challenges
- Innovate as a government
- Contributing to employment and economic growth within the startup ecosystem
- Informing and activating startups for government contracts through a simplified tendering procedure.
Spar with the government
SiR challenges startups to pitch solutions for government societal and technological challenges. The startups with the best solutions are selected for the SiR program, in which they will further develop the solutions together with the challenge owners from the government, with the ultimate goal of the government as launching customer or client for their solution.
