What is Home Explorer Technology?
The Explorer helps you find technology or tools that can help you. To live comfortably and independently at home. To support with a disability. Or to live safer. You will be guided through the Explorer via a number of questions. At the end you get an overview of the tools and/or technology that can help in your situation. You can find more information per product via the Explorer.
The Explorer can be completed for free on the internet. Personal details do not have to be entered to receive advice, but sometimes it can help to make the advice even more personal. For example, to see whether a product is reimbursed by your own health insurer.
What can I do with the Explorer's advice?
With the advice you can buy a product yourself on the internet or the store. Or you can try it out at one of the experience or lending points in The Hague. You can also temporarily borrow (a limited number of) products from the lending points to see if it works at home. You can also get more advice and explanation of the product here.
Is the Explorer completely finished yet?
No, the Explorer is not finished yet, but we would like to do that together with you! If you fill in the Explorer, you can indicate at the end what you thought of it, what could be improved, what works well or what you miss. This is how we make the Explorer better and better together. So that the Explorer can be used by everyone and everyone gets the best advice.
What if I can't or don't want to fill in the Explorer on my own?
You can complete the Explorer yourself or together with someone else. For example with a friend, family member or carer. You can also go to different places if you want to fill it in with someone else. Click here for an overview of the locations.
The Technology for Home Explorer is an initiative of the municipality of The Hague and Thuisleefgroep.
