The Healthcare Innovation Hub has many enthusiastic partners. But who are these partners and what do they contribute? Martine Frentz is innovation program manager at Tzorg. By uniting nationally fragmented pilots in the Healthcare Innovation Hub, Tzorg hopes to achieve value assessment and upscaling more efficiently.
Tzorg is a national organization for domestic help. This organization helps people to live at home for as long as possible by helping with household tasks and supporting self-reliance. Tzorg also conducts pilots with healthcare innovations.
What role does Tzorg take on within the Healthcare Innovation Hub?
“For now we have two roles in mind for Tzorg. Firstly, we will run pilots with healthcare innovations. It is nice that the Healthcare Innovation Hub offers one central place where (digital) tools can be tested. We also have a large following of clients and professionals in The Hague. The Healthcare Innovation Hub is a place where they can meet each other and go for healthcare questions.”
What is your vision for the hub?
“In the Netherlands, many organizations run the same pilots in different places. My goal is to unite all these smaller pilots into projects in the Healthcare Innovation Hub, and then scale them up nationally. Not only is this more sustainable, we also have a greater influence on politics through better cooperation. In addition, I hope that we can take steps more quickly thanks to the physical location of the Healthcare Innovation Hub. Normally, a collaboration takes a long time before a clear plan is in place. Now that partners can meet each other more easily in the hub and get to know each other well, this process will hopefully go faster.”
How do you look back on the February 1 launch?
“The energy was very good. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the partners involved. I've even met some new startups. In any case, such a successful launch gives confidence.”
