The Pal app was developed to reimagine palliative care and improve access to adequate home care for anyone affected by a life-threatening illness. The start-up was chosen as the winner of the CareTech Network Program 2023 on December 12. As the winner, they will have the opportunity to start a pilot in collaboration with the municipality of The Hague.
With the continued growth of our population, the challenges surrounding the individual also increase, especially as a result of the shortage of personnel in the healthcare sector. To stimulate innovation in the social domain, the municipality of The Hague and YES!Delft have set up the CareTech Network Program. The aim of this program is to support innovative start-ups with their solutions that help people live more independently at home and reduce the burden on healthcare providers.
Care Tech Network Program
The six-week program included a series of workshops, training sessions with experts and personal meetings with stakeholders in the social domain of The Hague. Each startup was strategically connected to a minimum of 25 regional influencers, highlighting their innovative solutions and opening up new possibilities.
Final day
The final event of the program took place on Tuesday, December 12, an exciting moment when the participating start-ups were able to present their solution to an expert jury consisting of people from the municipality of The Hague, ROC Mondriaan, Tzorg and YES!Delft. From the seven participants, the expert jury selected Pal as the most promising start-up within the social domain of The Hague.
Second place
Watch SEM won second place and won a workspace in the (future) Care Innovation Hub in The Hague.
