5 information and lending points in The Hague, 2 cargo bikes with smart aids to go to residents and at least 25 smart aids that were purchased after a successful lending period. The Digiredzaam Den Haag project was completed after 3 years and has delivered many great results. We look back at the most important results and highlights.
The Digiredzaam Den Haag project focused on contributing to a better self-reliance of residents of The Hague. We did this by using smart aids (care technology), such as a hip airbag, medicine dispenser, sleep robot and watch with alarm button. We focused in particular on elderly residents and residents with a disability or chronic illness. The project was carried out together with more than 10 partners: Middin, Schroeder, Xtra, WZH, Respect, Parnassia, Oldael, HVP, Eykenburg, Saffier, Cardia and the municipality of The Hague.
Digitally savvy in numbers
- No fewer than 250 residents received information and advice from advisors at the lending points and tried out the aids at home for 3 months.
- More than 140 healthcare professionals will be trained in working with healthcare technology in 2023 and 2024.
- At more than 65 meetings and activities, more than 3,000 residents of The Hague discussed the use of healthcare technology.
- 5 information and lending points have been opened in The Hague.
- The Wuzzi alarm watch was lent out the most: almost 75 times. This was followed by the Somnox sleep robot (over 50 times), the Compaan senior tablet (over 25 times) and the Wolk hip airbag (almost 25 times).
- At least 25 smart tools have been purchased after a successful loan period.
- We have given workshops at 5 healthcare providers about the preconditions (vision, support, plan, resources, competencies) to make healthcare future-proof with healthcare innovations (smart tools).
We will continue in 2025
In 2025, we will continue this positive impact together with our partners.
- Residents of The Hague can continue to try out and borrow smart aids from several lending points: the experience home, Slim Wonen by Saffier and a lending point at Voorall.
- The Technology for Home Explorer has been renewed. This also allows residents to find out online which smart aid suits their situation.
- Presentations and demonstrations will continue to be given throughout the city in 2025 to introduce more residents and professionals to smart tools. Check out the meetings near you.
